'Needed to get back to work to take care of my kids' studies': Shweta Tiwari on returning to TV after 3 years
Shweta Tiwari is winning hearts with her cute stint as Guneet in Mere Dad Ki Dulhan. With this show, the actor returned to the tube after a hiatus of three years. Moreover, she also made her digital debut with Hum Tum And Them for which she was lauded by the masses as Shweta played a never-seen-before avatar. The actor is making sure to juggle between her personal and professional life as she looks after her two kids too.

When asked about her comeback on TV, Shweta told Bombay Times, "I'm the only earning member in the house. I needed to get back to work to pay the bills and take care of my kids’ studies. Everything is expensive these days, and savings se aaj kal kharcha manage nahi ho sakta. For the life I want to give my kids, I will have to step out of the house and work hard. So, I returned to television."

Shweta further shared about how the production team of Mere Dad Ki Dulhan have been helpful towards her. She said, "My producers have been supportive and have given me an extra room for my son."

The talented actor spoke about how she enjoys being a mother but her daughter Palak Tiwari isn't too keen. She said, "I love the feeling of being a mother, carrying a life inside of me, and the connection between two lives. But I also know many people who haven’t opted for conventional pregnancy, and others still, who do not want kids at all. I understand why a lot of youngsters are forgoing motherhood, given the current situation of our world. So, when Palak says, ‘Mom, I don’t want to have babies’, I tell her that it’s okay."
