'NOT TRUE!': Alia Bhatt rubbishes reports of injuring her back during 'Gangubai Kathiawadi' shoot
On Monday, Alia Bhatt took to her Instagram story and shared a selfie with her pet cat Edward. She captioned her post by giving an update on her health. It read as "Selfie time with mommy cause she’s hurt her back and has nothing better to do at 2 am." Soon after that, reports started making the rounds that Alia has injured herself while shooting for her forthcoming film, Gangubai Kathiawadi.

However, a while back, the actor took to her Instagram story and released a statement declaring that she wasn't injured during the shoot. Alia stated, "To all those articles out there saying that I have hurt myself on the sets of my film, they are NOT true. This is an old injury that has been acting up for a while and just gave way one day at HOME. No accident or nothing! Please do clarify next time before printing long articles on what happened to me."

She concluded by thanking her well-wishers by writing, "Having said that thanks to a few days of complete rest and being horizontal I'm back in action and am resuming shoot from today! Thank you for all the get well soon messages as I have got well very soon."

Meanwhile, talking about Gangubai Kathiawadi, the first look posters were unveiled a few days back and Alia is seen in a never-seen-before avatar. The film is being directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali and is slated to release on September 11, 2020.
