#MustWatchShikara trends on Twitter after some users call for boycott of Vidhu Vinod Chopra's film
Vidhu Vinod Chopra recently made a comment on Kashmiri Pandit ethnic cleansing. He said, "30 yrs have passed. Let's say sorry & move on. It is like two friends who have a fallout but they love each other". The statement caused an uproar on Twitter. While a few demanded boycott on his film 'Shikara', other users stated that the movie is a must-watch.

Commenting on Vidhu Vinod Chopra's statement in a recent interview, Ashoke Pandit questioned, "It’s a matter of serious concern when a filmmaker who has made film on the exodus of Kashmiri Hindus says that both the parties (Victims & terrorists) in Kashmir should hug and say sorry to each other and move on. Why should a victim apologize? To narrate a tragedy one cannot be an apologist."

A few users accused the filmmaker of the whitewashing of Hindus genocide, rape, and murder.

Some others stated they would wait for Vivek Agnihotri's The Kashmir Files to know more about the topic.

A few Twitterati took to Twitter and backed Shikara, stating the movie is a must-watch. They mentioned that the movie brings out the truth and secrets about how the lives of Kashmiri Pandits changed overnight.
