'Worst thing in the world, will never be okay with that': Saif Ali Khan on how divorce with Amrita Singh impacted kids
Before Kareena Kapoor Khan, Saif Ali Khan was married to Amrita Singh and it's a known fact. The ex-couple was together for 13 years from 1991 to 2004. They are proud parents to two children - daughter and actor Sara Ali Khan and son Ibrahim Ali Khan. Meanwhile, Saif has spoken about his divorce with Amrita at several instances and he has appreciated her for being a great mother to their two children.

During a recent interaction with Pinkvilla, Saif was asked about divorce with Amrita back then. To which he stated, "It’s the worst thing in the world. That is something I still feel could have been different. I think I will never really be okay with that, One needs to understand that certain things can’t be out, I try my best to make peace with that and with myself saying that I was 20 and I was quite young and so many changes."

The actor went on to say, "You feel bad but it is a strange thing, sometimes you can’t imagine... parents are a strange thing, you can’t imagine of them as together and individuals, as two units as well. You don’t like to think of them making out, you don’t think of them joined. So it’s like a thing, everyone can be okay with a modern relationship also."

Saif also said, "I don’t think any child should be deprived of a warm home and that is never easy." He concluded by talking about the 'modern family' situation. Saif shared, "You have to be, you have to make the most of whatever situation and life are beautiful. Nobody should sit around complaining too much because everything’s alright. Sometimes, having two parents might not be the best thing for anyone, but it might be. I mean a nice stable home is a wonderful environment that one would like to give and share with kids."
