Eternally grateful to him: Karan Johar confirms Shah Rukh Khan's cameo in Ranbir Kapoor-Alia Bhatt's 'Brahmastra'
In November 2019, Shah Rukh Khan kickstarted the shoot of Brahmastra in which he has a special appearance. The makers made sure to keep the huge news under wraps but however, it leaked out. Moreover, SRK's vanity van was seen on Brahmastra sets which were the biggest giveaway. Talking about the superstar being a part of Brahmastra, a source had told Mumbai Mirror, "Shah Rukh himself likes Ayan’s work and immediately agreed to the cameo. And like everyone else’s in the film, even SRK’s character has the mythological touch."

Now, when the producer of Brahmastra, Karan Johar was asked about Shah Rukh's presence in the film, he confirmed and stated, "I don’t want to reveal his role but Ayan, Ranbir, Alia and I will be eternally grateful to him for coming on board with his vision and inputs. The energy Shah Rukh Khan brings with him when he walks on to a film set is unparalleled."

KJo was also asked about the release date of Brahmastra, he said, "You will hear about the release date of Brahmastra Part 1 very soon."

On being quizzed about the trilogy, the filmmaker replied, "Yes, Ayan has got the structure of both parts ready and the writing material is firmly in place. He has been working on it every single day since the last five years. It’s his brainchild completely and has got terrific support from the cast, including Ranbir (Kapoor), Alia (Bhatt) and Mr (Amitabh) Bachchan, who have worked tirelessly. For five years, I have seen the boy struggle and create something that Indian cinema has never seen."
