SS Rajamouli's 'RRR' release date has been officially announced. The movie starring Ram Charan and Jr. NTR in the lead roles and Ajay Devgn in a cameo appearance is slated for January 8, 2021 release. This release date has been announced almost a year ahead.

Announcing the release date, the official Twitter handle of the film wrote, "#RRR will hit the screens on January 8th, 2021! We know the wait is long but we promise to keep giving you updates in the meanwhile."

Apart from Ajay Devgn, 'RRR' also stars Alia Bhatt in a pivotal role. Olivia Morris, 'Thor' famed actor Ray Stevenson, and Alison Doody have also been roped in for important roles. The movie was previously going to feature Daisy Edgar Jones opposite Jr. NTR.

The movie was previously slated for October 2020 release. However, if reports are to be believed then due to extensive post-production work and VFX, the release date of 'RRR' has been pushed ahead to January 8, 2020. Talking about the name 'RRR', the period drama is reportedly titled 'Raama Roudra Rushitam' in Telugu which is roughly translated in English as 'Rise Revolt Revenge'.
