Shabana Azmi 'completely fine and fully recovered' from car accident, starts shooting in Budapest
After meeting with a car accident in January this year, Shabana Azmi has fully recovered and she is currently in Budapest. The veteran actor has travelled to Hungary to shoot for Steven Spielberg produced film titled Halo. Shabana had shared a photo of herself in February with a caption stating, "Thank you all for your prayers and wishes for my recovery. I'm back home now Thank you #Tina Ambani and Kokilaben Ambani hospital for the sterling care provided by the doctors' team and the nursing staff. I'm indebted and grateful".

Now during an interaction with Hindustan Times, Azmi was asked about her health, to which she stated, "I am completely fine and have fully recovered. Currently, I am in Budapest shooting for Halo (produced by Steven Spielberg) and I am happy to be back on the sets."

Soon after the veteran actor met with an accident, her photo from the sit hit the Internet and instantly went viral. Many had urged to stop circulating the photos as it's 'insensitive'. On being quizzed about it, the Neerja actor said, "My family was upset. It was kept away from me for the longest time as I didn’t have my cellphone. When I saw it, I was on my way to recovery. At that moment, I was just really grateful to those who helped me and the hospital staff."

For the uninitiated, Shabana had suffered head injuries when her car met with an accident on the Mumbai-Pune Expressway on January 18, 2020. Her husband and veteran lyricist Javed Akhtar was also there in the vehicle but he escaped unhurt.
