Esha Deol has become an author and her debut book Amma Mia was unveiled recently. To promote the same, the actor-turned-author will be marking her presence on The Kapil Sharma Show. Esha is joined by none other than her mother and legendary actor Hema Malini. The mother-daughter duo spoke about the book, Esha's debut and also about Dharmendra during their stint on the show. They enjoyed their banter with Kapil Sharma too.
On the show, Hema was asked about Esha's childhood, to which the Dream Girl stated as quoted by The Times of India, "Esha was interested in extracurricular activities such as sports and dance. Like in our house, we used to do dance practice because of which she started liking it and wanted to be a professional dancer and even make her career in Bollywood."
Interestingly, Hema went on to reveal that Dharmendra was against Esha's Bollywood debut. She said, "However, Dharamji didn’t like her daughter dancing or making her Bollywood debut and he had an objection to that."
The Baghban actor went on to say, "Later when Dharamji got to know the type of Nritya (dance) which I do and how people appreciated me and my work, which fortunately made him change his mind and then he accepted his daughters dancing and also Esha’s Bollywood debut."
Meanwhile, on the work front, Hema was last seen in Ramesh Sippy's latest directorial Shimla Mirchi. In the film, she starred alongside Rajkummar Rao and Rakul Preet Singh. The film released in theatres and within a few days, it streamed on Netflix.
