How Sameera Reddy is managing nine-month baby and four-year-old son under coronavirus lockdownAuthor : AZIndia News Desk
Sameera Reddy's little baby Nyra has not even turned a year old and she has been going through the lockdown situation. Not just that, Sameera and her husband Akshai Varde have been handling their four-year-old son Hans Varde too.
Talking about her parenting life and finding the right balance, Sameera told Mumbai Mirror, "It’s a little frustrating because my four-year-old son, Hans, needs to expend all that boy energy and my nine-month-old daughter, Nyra is just crawling. So, I decided on a common activity—dancing. I carry the baby in my arms and my son dances around me." She also went on to state that she lets Hans paint the marble floors, even if she might have to clean it up for two hours later.
Further revealing about how Akshai helps, she said, "My husband (Akshai Varde) makes breakfast before he starts working his regular hours, during which Hans sits and studies next to him on the apps he has downloaded. My motherin-law and I make elaborate meals, then, get creative with leftovers. I’ve become thrifty with supplies too, using diapers only for the nights. Since I don’t have size-appropriate summer clothes for Nyra, I’ve cut off the sleeves from her tees to make sleeveless tops."
Reddy then went on to talk about how her son is worried about celebrating his birthday next month. She revealed that he wanted to celebrate with his grandparents, who live just two blocks away, but she wouldn't wish to put either of the families at risk and thus told him to celebrate at home.
