'Don't know how it just connected with youth then and now': Kareena Kapoor Khan on her iconic 'Poo' character from 'K3G'
Karan Johar's second directorial Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham is touted as a romantic-drama movie. But it was Kareena Kapoor Khan's iconic character Poo which brought out the fun sequences in the film. Her character became so iconic that it was a reference point for several characters written on the same wavelength. Even now, people recognise Kareena as Poo and she mouths the popular dialogues from the film at several instances.

During a recent interaction with an international podcast, Kareena spoke about the character Poo. She stated, "It's so strange that after 20 years, it's still coming back in a way, in 2020, because- as you said- it's pop culture. It's a character that somehow, I don't know how it just connected with the youth then and it connects with the youth now. If I really can say, actresses will always do different kinds of parts but you've never seen a character like Poo. You've never seen somebody who is so blasé and just speaks her mind."

On being quizzed if she felt 'stupid' back in time during the shoot, Bebo replied, "Yeah, I was like, Karan what are you making me do?"

Interestingly, this year, Kareena completed 20 years in the film industry as she made her debut back in 2000 with JP Dutta directorial Refugee opposite Abhishek Bachchan.

The actor has shown variations of roles in these two decades but it's Poo which has stuck on people's minds and Kareena also said that every young generation gets connected with this iconic role.
