Pooja Batra and Nawab Shah tied the knot in July last year after a whirlwind romance. It was in May that Nawab popped the question to Pooja and they got married in a private ceremony in Delhi. Now, as they completed one year of being engaged, Pooja took to her Instagram page and shared moments when Nawab went down on his knee and asked her hand for marriage. In the photos, Pooja is seen taken by surprise as Nawab held her hand. Her facial expressions say it all and happiness has no bounds for the couple. Pooja immediately kissed and hugged her mom while Nawab placed the ring on her finger. They are seen happily lost in each other's eyes while she said 'yes' to him.

Pooja captioned her post stating, "#tbt Last year today was the day when my hubby @nawwabshah proposed to me in the presence of his Mom and his family. May your blessings and love always be with us more. We Miss you."

Pooja and Nawab got married on July 4, 2020, talking about their secret wedding, the actor had told Bombay Times, "Yes, we are married. Nawab and I exchanged vows in Delhi, with only our families in attendance. Our loved ones kept asking us why we were delaying it (the marriage). I was simply going with the flow, but then I realised that he is the man I want to spend the rest of my life with, and there is no point in delaying it any further. So, here we are. We had an Arya Samaj wedding, and we will register our marriage this week."
