'Soorarai Pottru': Suriya's upcoming film gets 'U' certification
Tamil star Suriya's upcoming film is Soorarai Pottru in which he plays the role of an Air Force pilot. The film was all set to release but has been postponed indefinitely due to the ongoing coronavirus lockdown across the country. The action-packed film had made Suriya's fans excited as ever and they have been waiting to catch the film on the big screen. Now, the film has been finally certified and people of all age groups can enjoy it.

Yes, the film has received 'U' certification from the Censor Board. The makers took to their Twitter page and announced it with a new poster. The tweet read as "#SooraraiPottru is about to fly high with ‘U’. Our Maara is ready for action! #SooraraiPottruForU @Suriya_offl #SudhaKongara @rajsekarpandian @gvprakash @nikethbommi @Aparnabala2 @editorsuriya @deepakbhojraj @jacki_art @guneetm @sikhyaent @SakthiFilmFctry @SonyMusicSouth".

With this film, Oscar-winning producer Guneet Monga will be venturing in the South film industry. Soorarai Pottru also stars Mohan Babu, Paresh Rawal and Aparna Balamurali. The music for it is given by GV Prakash Kumar. Suriya's home banner 2D Entertainment is also co-producing the film. Soorarai Pottru will be releasing post lockdown ends in the country.

Earlier, theatre owners had planned to ban the film along with the actor's fans after Suriya decided to release Jyothika's latest film, Ponmagal Vandhaal on Amazon Prime Video.

However, things have got back to normal and the hard-hitting film is enjoying its run at the streaming platform since it released last week.
