Sushmita Sen's comeback show, Aarya has made fans get excited like ever. The thriller show will be streamed on Disney+ Hotstar from June 19, 2020. The actor has been on a sabbatical for a decade and is all set to be back with a bang. Earlier in an interview with Rajeev Masand, Sushmita had opened up about battling with Addison's disease in 2014 and emerged a winner too. Now, while talking to Anupama Chopra, Sushmita revealed about the traumatising phase of her life.
She stated, "The reason I am also excited is that all through the last ten years, out of which five were lovely, watching my little one grow up and being there a hundred per cent… After that, the last five years were pretty traumatising. They took me to the darkest of places that I had never been to before."
Sushmita added, "And all through that, there was this light at the end of the tunnel; I did not know it would be called Aarya but I knew that something good is coming and I have to hold on and fight whatever it is I am facing now because I am not done. And by that, I don’t mean a film or web series, but just something to look forward to."
Aarya is directed by Ram Madhvani, Sandeep Modi and Vinod Rawat. The show also stars Chandrachur Singh, Sikander Kher, Namit Das, Manish Chaudhari, Alexx O'Nell, Sugandha Garg, Flora Saini among others.
The show is based on Dutch series Penoza.
