Mammootty, Mohanlal pay final respects to Mollywood's star bodyguard Maranalloor Das
Actor Mammootty mourned the demise of his bodyguard Maranalloor Das, more popularly known as Das Ettan. Other Mollywood stars like Mohanlal, Dulquer Salmaan and Prithviraj also paid their last tributes to the renowned bodyguard.

Apart from Mammootty, Das Ettan worked as a bodyguard to Vijay and Pawan Kalyan among other celebs. Mammootty and Mohanlal shared an image of Maranalloor Das to express their condolence.

Dulquer Salmaan also offered his condolences on Facebook. He shared, "Deeply saddened by the untimely passing of Das. He was a big personality. You couldn’t miss him. Most shoots, and especially at events and shows you were sure to find him. He stood out from all the others doing the same job. Somehow it was reassuring to know that if Das was present, things were probably under control. He was one of the first industry personalities I discovered. Unique to our industry. Unique to Malayalam. He never really had a title. But everyone knew him and knew of him. I guess he never needed one. He was just him. Das. He will be missed. More than he would know. Prayers and condolences to his family (sic).”

Prithviraj, who returned to his family after three months recently, also condoled Das' demise. He penned, "Rest in peace Das chetan. You will be missed. Condolences to the family (sic)."

Das Ettan died on Wednesday at the age of 47. He was receiving treatment for jaundice in Thiruvananthapuram (Kerala)'s medical college. He worked in Gulf and later came back to Kerala because of his love for films.
