Actor-wrestler Dara Singh, who got the name 'the Great Dara Singh' after his wrestling career, re-entered in people's memories after a Punjabi song 'Great Dara Singh' was unveiled some time back. The track was all about high moments in Dara Singh's life, both in wrestling and acting.
Apart from his high achievements as a wrestler, Dara Singh has also been part of some iconic works. He was seen as Hanuman in 'Ramayan', and his last noteable work as remembered happened to be Imtiaz Ali's 'Jab We Met'. Dara Singh had played Kareena Kapoor Khan's grandfather in the movie. The actor also featured opposite megastar Amitabh Bachchan in four movies, including 'Mard'.
Dara Singh's son Vindu Dara Singh shared the video on Twitter, calling it 'Guru Purnima' respect. "Here is our #GuruPurnima2020 respect to the #GreatDaraSingh to share it , watch it and spread the love," he shared while also tweeting the video.
The Punjabi song titled 'Great Dara Singh' has been crooned by Nachchtar Gill. Backed by T-Series Punjabi, the song has been penned by Balbir Singh Randhawa while Amdad Ali gave music to the track.
