Shilpa Rao on why talking about Sonu Nigam, Bhushan Kumar is waste of time amid mental health concerns
Shilpa Rao over the years has given hit songs to her fans from Lootera or Khuda Jaane from Bachna Ae Haseeno to Le Chal Mujhe from Malang. In a recent interview with BollywoodLife Shilpa spoke about the current lockdown and weighed in on the Sonu Nigam vs Bhushan Kumar debate and nepotism in the music industry.

Talking about Sonu and Bhushan's war of words, Shilpa said, "The conversation first started around mental health and now more than anything else, we are getting away from the main subject of discussion."

She further added, "We should focus back on mental health. We should all do everything in our power to be happy and stable right now because that is the main point where it all started. If reading helps, music helps, movies help, do all that but if nothing helps call a therapist, it is as simple as that. Right now, all we are doing is steering away from the main conversation which is mental health. Right now it is not about any one person, we should focus on why it all started."

Shilpa also spoke about missing travel during the coronavirus lockdown and said that she misses her immigration officers. "I miss travel, apart from that I am doing absolutely fine. If I get anxious I cook, make something. It is natural for creative minds to apply their creativity in one place or another. Any creative mind can do that. The mind is limitless, you can do so much with it," Shilpa said.
