At the IPL 2021 tournament, the current match is being played between Punjab Kings and Royal Challengers Bangalore. The match is held at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. Straight from the stands, Preity Zinta, the co-owner of PBKS clicked a selfie and posted it on her Instagram page. While writing the caption, the actor wrote that she is not home but is grateful that she is safe amid the IPL matches.
Preity stated, "These are tough times for everyone. A lot of our friends, families & fellow Indians are devastated by this pandemic. We all must try in our individual capacity to help out by making a difference financially, emotionally & mentally. Part of this is being socially responsible by wearing masks, following all the COVID protocols & being more sensitive & compassionate towards others."
She added, "I’m not home but I’m grateful that I’m safe and I sincerely hope being a part of the IPL we can keep people safe at home by providing them with some relief & something to look forward to in these trying times. A few days back, Preity cheered for her team on her social media pages by penning, "Finally something to celebrate in my quarantine. It can be really tough to stay locked up in a room without a window for a week. Thank you @punjabkingsipl for making tonight exciting & all the best for the next couple of games. Tonight was all teamwork and it was awesome to see such a strong & confident performance from the boys."
