Club cricketer smashes windscreen of his own car with a huge six, video goes viralWhile the audience and every cricket fan enjoy huge sixes being hit but sometimes, the result of the six might not be fruitful. Like in the past the ball has sometimes hit a person in the crowds, or like in Sharjah with the highway adjacent to the stadium, the ball hit a person walking on the road and sometimes with the parking lot near the stadium, it has hit the parked vehicles as well.

Now, a bizarre incident took place on Sunday in a club cricket game as the batsman Asif Ali, hit a six over the fine-leg boundary, however, the ball crashed straight into the windscreen of his own car. Usually, the bowler has his hands on his head after a batsman hits a six, however, it was the batsman himself this time, after he realised that the huge sixer he hit damaged his own vehicle.

During the quarter-final of the Halifax Cricket League Crossley Shield, Ali of St Mary’s Cricket Club lofted one over the boundary into the parking area playing against Sowerby’s St Peter’s.

While players around started shouting, a sound of a bang could be heard clearly in the video uploaded by the cricket club itself.

Asif, however, would have breathed a sigh of relief after the Fix Auto Bradford South, one of the sponsors of the club, reportedly assured him that they will help him fixing his own car.

A similar incident happened a few years ago when New Zealand batsman Jesse Ryder smashed commentator Ian Smith's car.

“That’s out of the ground, that’s gone, it’s downtown," Smith said as Ryder sent the ball high into the air. “It’s on my car! It is! I think it hit my car! Oh, the downside of getting a park so close! Oh, no."
