Los Angeles, Jan 2 (AZINS) British actors Joan Collins and James Corden will be recognised by Queen Elizabeth II in this year's New Year Honours list.
Collins, who was appointed an Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE), will be made a dame for services to charity.
The 81-year-old actress, known for her roles in “The Girl in the Red Velvet Swing” and “The Stud”, said: “It is humbling to receive this level of recognition from my Queen and country, and I am thrilled and truly grateful.”
Meanwhile, “Into the Woods” star Corden, who is set to replace Craig Ferguson as CBS' "The Late Late Show" host, will be awarded an OBE for his services to the entertainment industry.
His ex-girlfriend and former “Gavin & Stacey” co-star Sheridan Smith will also receive the same honour, along with actress Emily Watson.
Veteran actor John Hurt will be made a knight, while fashion designer Mary Quant, television presenter Esther Rantzen and Kristin Scott Thomas will be named a dame.
