Sukhwinder Singh to perform in Phoenix on his maiden concert tour "Jai Ho" at the Symphony Hall on Friday May 14, 2010
Sukhwinder Singh is all set to get started on his maiden concert tour "Jai Ho" in the United States with a show in Phoenix on May 14th. Mr. Singh will be performing live with an ensemble of leading Bollywood musicians and is all set to set the stage at the Symphony Hall on fire come May 14, 2010.
Local non-profit organizations, Indo American Foundation, Gujrathi Cultural Association, and the Punjabi Cultural Association who are promoting Singh's show in Phoenix, are all excited over the initial response of the Indian Diaspora living in the Phoenix metropolitan area.
Sukhwinder shot to fame with "Chaiyya Chaiyya" for which he won the Filmfare award for the best playback singer in 1999. This song was also featured in the musical Bombay Dreams. This song was so inspiring that noted Hollywood director sent a message of multiculturalism by using the same song for the title credit of his blockbuster film - Inside Man.
Sukhwinder was unstoppable and acquired more international fame for the award winning song 'Jai Ho' from the award winning movie Slumdog Millionaire.
