New Delhi, March 5 (AZINS) A majority of Indian women of various age-groups across the country feel India is a safe place to travel, reads a survey.
HolidayIQ, India's travel and holiday information portal, conducted a survey among 20,000 women across the country in the first week of March to understand whether women felt safe while travelling in the country.
It was found that as many as 78 percent Indian women aged between 18 and 64 feel India is a safe place to travel, read a statement.
Women in Mumbai (92 percent) feel the safest amongst all cities, followed by Bangalore (83 percent).
Asked who they preferred travelling with, 25 percent said they prefer travelling with family, 22 percent with friends, 18 percent with girl-gang, 13 percent like to go solo and eight percent with their significant other.
