Hynde blasts pop stars for making 'pornographic' music videosLos Angeles, Sep 16 (AZINS) After facing criticism for her controversial comments on rape, musician Chrissie Hynde has appeared to make things worse when she tried to clarify those remarks in an interview.

In the interview that aired on ABC News' TV show "Good Morning America" on Tuesday, The Pretenders' founding member criticised modern pop stars for making revealing music videos, reports aceshowbiz.com.

"To me, it's pornographic when you're in your underwear and you're bumping and grinding and singing your song," Hynde said.

"I'm not trying to criticise other women, I'm just saying if you're selling it through sex, then don't say you're a feminist on behalf of music. Because I think little girls get very confused by that," she added without mentioning any names.

A few weeks ago, Hynde sparked controversy after sharing her views on rape while promoting her new memoir "Reckless: My Life as a Pretender".

Speaking to Sunday Times magazine, she blamed herself for the sexual assault she suffered at the hands of an Ohio motorcycle gang when she was 21.

"If I'm walking around and I'm very modestly dressed and I'm keeping to myself and someone attacks me, then I'd say that's his fault. But if I'm being very lairy and putting it about and being provocative, then you are enticing someone who's already unhinged."
