Jackky meets Scarlett at 'He Named Me Malala' premiereNew York, Sep 25 (AZINS) Bollywood actor Jackky Bhagnani, who made a faux pas last year when he misspelt Malala Yousafzai's name as 'Masala' in a tweet, attended the premiere of “He Named Me Malala”, a documentary on the Nobel Peace Prize winner here. And he even met Hollywood star Scarlett Johansson!

Needless to say then, it was an “evening well spent” for the Bollywood actor.

Jackky took to Twitter to talk about his experience and even posted images of the screening, which was held at Ziegfeld Theater here on Thursday night.

“An evening well spent! Was a pleasure to be part of the #HeNamedMeMalala premiere #StandWithMalala #Inspirational. Overjoyed to have interacted with #ScarlettJohansson at the #HeNamedMeMalala premiere in #NYC,” Jackky shared.

The film opens a facet of Malala's life on the big screen and tells an inspiring story of how a teenage girl, who was shot in her head on her way to school in Pakistan in 2012 by Taliban, is undeterred by the threats and continues her fight for girls' right to education.

A single line in the trailer of the film -- 'one child, one teacher, one book and one pen - they can change the world' -- sums up her mission aptly.

In one of the photographs, the “Youngistaan” actor is posing with Johansson, who channelled a formal look in black trousers and blazer.

Malala and her father Ziauddin Yousafzai attended the star-studded premiere.

Jackky, who has appeared in films like “F.A.L.T.U” and “Welcome 2 Karachi”, thanked her father Ziauddin as well as other organisations for extending an invitation to him.

“ThankYou @MalalaFund & @ZiauddinY for inviting me to the #HeNamedMeMalala premiere... Guys you gotta see this documentary,” he wrote.
