Aniston, Huston roped in for Iraq war dramaLos Angeles, Oct 7 (AZINS) Actors Jennifer Aniston and Jack Huston have signed on for Iraq war drama "The Yellow Birds".

Aniston and Huston will be seen in the film, directed by Alexandre Moors, with Tye Sheridan and Alden Ehrenreich.

"The Yellow Birds" is based on the novel by Iraq war veteran Kevin Powers. The film marks the second project to go before the cameras for Mark Canton and Courtney Solomon's Cinelou Films.

It was first announced at Cannes with Benedict Cumberbatch, Sheridan and Will Poulter starring and David Lowery directing it, reports deadline.com.

However, Cumberbatch, who was up to portray Sergeant Sterling, dropped out of the project and the role is now taken by Huston. Meanwhile, Aniston will play the mother to Ehrenreich's character. Lowery also turned down the direct the film and the movie ended up being helmed by Alexandre Moors.

The film is about two young soldiers who become friends in boot camp and the elder (the 21-year-old Ehrenreich) promises to take care of his friend essayed by Sheridan, but it becomes increasingly difficult in wartime.

Aniston is currently filming Garry Marshall's star-studded drama-comedy "Mother's Day", where she stars opposite Julia Roberts, Kate Hudson and Jason Sudeikis.

Huston is best known for his role as hitman Richard Harrow on "Boardwalk Empire".

He was last seen in "Kill Your Darlings" and "American Hustle" and will next be seen in "Pride and Prejudice and Zombies", in which he stars alongside Lily James.
