Apple Music beta version now available for AndroidAuthor : AZIndia News Desk
Mumbai, Nov 11(AZINS) Apple has released a beta version of its music service, Apple Music, on Android. The app is available for Google's mobile platform in all the countries Apple music was initially released.
There are a few caveats though. While Android users can access the music streaming and internet radio offered in the app, music videos are still locked away, as are signups from within the app. You're going to need a Mac or iOS device to purchase or upgrade to the family plan. To be specific, users can access Beats 1, Connect, human curated playlists, and their songs purchased from iTunes.
While Apple has built the app to be compatible with Android workings, complete with a hamburger icon at the top, they've chosen to ignore Google's Material Design and go instead with something somewhat halfway between the two platform's styles.
Apple Music costs US $9.99 a month for a single account and US $14.99 for a family account. In India, that price is Rs 120 for solo usage and Rs 180 for a family plan (six members maximum). You also get a 90 day time frame to try out the app for free. You can download Apple Music version 0.9.0, for Android 4.3 and above, from the Google Play Store here.
