Watch: See through the eyes of a self-driving carMumbai, Nov 17(AZINS) In the place where the technology and automotive industries collide, self-driving cars is the current standard of divine ascension. Google is testing their driverless cars right now, Apple is reportedly building one of its own, and even Uber was dabbling in space. There are also the "semi-auto pilot" vehicles, like with Tesla's models (powered by their latest software), Toyota's Lexus GS launched in October, and Mercedes' unveiling at CES earlier this year.

It's pretty simple to grasp, the car has various sensors that detect objects in its surroundings, and processes that data through an onboard processor that lets it act appropriately; whether that's changing lanes, navigating to a point, or even braking to stop an accident. But while it can be a hair-raising experience to watch the process from behind the wheel, it's positively magical when you get to see it through the car's "eyes". And that's exactly what the ScanLAB Projects creative studio did. They've hooked up a LIDAR (light detecting and ranging) sensor to a Honda CR-V, and compiled the input to a visual depiction of what a driverless car sees. Note, this particular car was being driven by a human, but the input you see is still accurate.

On a different note, this is exactly what Daredevil's "vision" looked like in the movie portrayal, though that was based off sound.
