Nov 23(AZINS) Star Wars is one of the most beloved movie franchise and there are numerous people who would like to be a part of that universe.
So when JJ Abrams was chosen to direct the new movie of the franchise in 2013, Star Wars: The Force Awakens, a lot of people jumped at the opportunity to get cast in the movie.
Recently, on the latest episode of Saturday Night Live, JJ Abrams shared an "original" screen test reel. Popular talent of Hollywood showed up. The names include Jon Hamm for Han Solo, Emma Stone for Rey, David Beckham (Taran Killam) with BB8, and Sofia Vergara (Cecily Strong).
Danny DeVito (Bobby Moynihan) autdiioned for BB8. Jon Hamm was hoping for 'Hamm' Solo role. Emma Stone took this opportunity to clarify the Aloha controversy. We are not sure what Michael Buble and John Mayer were auditioning for.
The 'now original' cast too had fun with the auditioning process. Daisy Ridley enjoyed being serenaded by aforementioned singers, whereas John Boyega looked amused at the idea of a black storm trooper.
Needless to say, after these amazing auditions we have ended up with the best possible cast for the next episode of Star Wars!
