Abhishek, a city topper in CBSE Class X exams, interned with Google California for three months. This was followed by another round of interview where he proved his skills in the design solutions cell. He is set to join office in September the next year.

"The journey from Pune to Kharagpur and Kharagpur to Google Mount View in California has been quite exciting," Pant said. "I had a great experience working there as an intern. A job offer is the icing on the cake."

Pant was born in the US and acquired his primary education here before shifting to Pune in 2006. He is thrilled to return to the US to pursue his career.

Pant, a student of Delhi Public School, scored 97.6% marks in Class X.

As of now, Pant hasn’t been assigned any project, but he will continue to work with the design solutions team resolve grievances of the users. "I am looking forward to working on new and interesting engineering challenges, and to working with a smart and talented team," he said.

The management from IIT Kharagpur is yet to confirm if this is the highest package offered to its students. They said the institute refrains from analysing the package trends of its students as this swerves their attention from education to remuneration instead.
