Bigg Boss 9: Why the Salman-Shah Rukh episode might rake in highest TRPs ever!Dec 19(AZINS) Bigg Boss 9 has relatively been a rather dull season so far. With the entire edition lacking the usual dose of masal and entertainment, TRPs too have been on the lower side for the channel. So much that even Colors' daily soap Naagin has taken an enormous lead over the otherwise successful controversial reality show. But things might just go for a quick change soon. Very soon.

Shah Rukh Khan is all set to make his debut entry on the Bigg Boss podium and while the actor has always shied away from promoting his films on the show and stayed away from Bigg Boss for years, this year, he has finally given a nod to promote Dilwale on the sets of the Salman Khan hosted show. Needless to say, anticipation is sky-rocketing and expectations have definitely gone for a toss.

While this marks the coming together of Salman and Shah Rukh on stage after years, here's why the December 19-20 episode will only mean Double the fun, Double the ratings for the channel.

Bees saal baad!
It's almost 20 years since Shah Rukh and Salman shared screen space together. Their last films together were in the late '90s and early 2000s. After that, Salman had a short appearance in the star studded Deewangi number from Om Shanti Om. Soon they had a fallout and the gears shifted to a different direction for both the Khans. Now that they have patched up, the misunderstandings are a thing of the past now. Also, this big reunion on BB sets is possibly one of the episodes everyone across the nation is looking forward to!

Terrific chemistry!
Karan Arjun released around two decades back. But even today, their friendship, despite having been tested by times, is something that most industry insider looks up to. These two have always made for an interesting pair every time they came together for an occasion. And the camaraderie is electric. While shooting the promo for Bigg Boss, a source from the sets tells us how SRK and Salman gave a hint of their crackling chemistry to the people present there. "Salman and Shah Rukh were supposed to shoot for a few promos together which would have taken them only about two hours. But the shoot went on for hours because once SRK and Salman arrived, they decided to chat up and catch up on old times in front of their vanity vans. Onlookers saw them laughing their hearts out, something that not many people have seen both of them do usually. Even after the shoot wrapped up, Salman went over to SRK's van and the two chatted for hours before they left." Now you know what to expect from the episode, right?

Heavy promotions!
Knowing that the ratings for this season has been a downer, the channel and the makers have made sure that these are the best episodes of the season. Something that people will remember for years to come. A source tells us, "Usually celebrities come for on-set visits for hardly a 10-15 minutes activity. SRK and Kajol will be there for two episodes in total. The mood set is that of a festival because this is possibly one of the biggest moments that will go down TV history for sure. The channel is marketing it really well, also because they're sure that the December 19-20 episodes will hit the ball out of the park." We aren't surprised!
