GoPro announces 360-Degree Video Camera at CESAuthor : AZIndia News Desk
Mumbai, Jan 8(AZINS) GoPro announced a 360-degree camera during YouTube’s keynote press conference at the Consumer Electronic Show 2016. The announcement come just a few days after Nikon unveiled their 360-degree camera. The camera is rather expensive, targeted at Virtual Reality game developer or 360 degree movie makers.
The CEO of GoPro, Nick Woodman said that they plan on releasing a consumer-friendly 360-camera that’s targeted at the general public.
Nick Woodman also announced a tie up with YouTube to make a lot more 360 videos on their video sharing platform. There are also rumours about these videos releasing on Facebook. If this is true then a cheaper consumer-friendly camera would make sense.
At the Code Conference 2015 Woodman announced that they were working on a quadcopter aerial drone that is set to release sometime this year, weather GoPro plans to integrate their 360-degree camera in these drones is anyone's guess.
