Jan 16(AZINS) 19-year-old Tom Holland, Marvel's new Spider-Man, will be first seen in Captain America: Civil War directed by the Russo brothers. Rumoured to be playing a 15-year-old Peter Parker in the film, Holland's Spider-Man will reportedly be recruited by Iron Man to side with him in the Civil War between superheros.
Geek.com cited a source to report that Peter Park will be approached by Tony Stark to work with him in the film. The report goes on to say that since Peter is just 15 years old in the film, he will have grown up watching Tony Stark's evolution into Iron Man and that there may be an element of hero worship involved.
Civil War sees Marvel's superheroes divided into two factions over the Superhuman Registration Act with Iron Man for and Captain America against it.
Civil War has a star cast that includes Robert Downey Jr (Iron Man), Chris Evans (Captain America), Scarlett Johansson (Black Widow), Don Cheadle (War Machine), Paul Bettany (The Vision), Emily VanCamp (Agent 13/Sharon Carter), Anthony Mackie (Falcon), Sebastian Stan (Winter Soldier), Elizabeth Olson (Scarlet Witch), Martin Freeman, Frank Grillo, Daniel Bruhl and William Hurt.
The film will introduce Chadwick Boseman as the Black Panther and Paul Rudd's Ant-Man will make his first appearance in a Marvel ensemble film.
The film will release in April 2016.
