Motorola teases Moto X Force India launch on Twitter with new "Shatter Shield" displayAuthor : AZIndia News Desk
Mumbai, Jan 19(AZINS) Motorola has taken to Twitter to tease the arrival of their latest durable handset, the Moto X Force, in India. The X Force is touted as Moto's "shatter-proof" smartphone, and was launched at the tail end of 2015.
The company posted a series of tweets, from their India-specific handle, announcing that the Moto X Force would be "coming soon". The posts feature a teaser video (below) that show the smartphone being through a drop test, alongside the likes of an iPhone 6, Sony Xperia Z5, and Samsung Galaxy S6.
The Moto X Force features a newly designed "Shatter Shield" display, composed of a rigid aluminium core, a flexible AMOLED screen, and two touchscreen panel layers, with the extra one to serve as a backup if the first fails. The company has even made claims that the screen will not shatter, even if dropped on solid concrete.
The Moto X Force has a 5.4-inch QHD (2560x1440) display, a 2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 octa-core SoC, 3GB DDR4 RAM and is available with 32GB or 64GB storage options (expandable via microSD up to 2TB). It features a 21MP f/2.0 rear cam with dual tone flash, 5MP f/2.0 front camera with LED flash, and is powered by a 3760mAh battery with Quick Charge capability. The Moto X Force runs Android 5.1.1 and has a single 4G SIM slot.
While Motorola has remained silent on the India launch date or price, it should be noted that the device launched in the UK last year at GBP 499 (approximately Rs 48,000) for the 32GB, and GBP 534 (roughly Rs. 51,500) for the 64GB.
