Doom reboot releases May 13 across platforms, preorders open now for Rs 4,299Mumbai, Feb 5(AZINS) After being stuck in development for ----- years, the latest installment in the Doom franchise is finally coming to a hell portal near you.

Publisher Bethesda has announced that Doom will officially launch on May 13, 2016. The reboot is chock-full of guts, gore, ungodly monsters and hardcore brutality. Taking a look at the trailer (below) the new title is clearly trying to get back to roots, displaying much more action-packed bullet rampages than the comparatively slower paced Doom 3 (2004). Not to mention the addition of what we can only describe are satisfyingly skull-splattering melee kills. The unofficial "Doom 4" will also stick to certain modern sure-wins, like the addition of multiplayer modes, and a map editor.

Doom will be available for PC, PS4, and Xbox One at launch. But if you just can't wait, you can pre-order it on Steam, or from here for US $59 (Rs 4,299) . And if you have a fat enough wallet, there's a US $120 Collector's Edition with a sweet 12-inch tall demon statue.
