Apple to replace faulty USB-C cablesNew Delhi, Feb 14(AZINS) Tech giant Apple has announced a worldwide replacement program for the USB-C cable that it shipped between April and June last year.

The replacement of the cable has been announced due to a defect in the design, the Verge reported.

Due to the design flaw in the cables, the MacBook users were not able to charge or were charging unreliably when connected to a power adapter.

The cable was released alongside the 12-inch Retina Macbook and also sold separately at the Apple Store.

According to the California-based company, MacBook users will receive a new cable by the end of this month if they had given their mailing address while registering for MacBook. And if the original cable failed and the user bought another one, he or she will also be eligible for a refund.
