'Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice' review roundup: Epic superhero battle fails to deliverAuthor : AZIndia News Desk
Mar 24(AZINS) Skeptics were never sure about Zack Snyder's follow up to the Man of Steel with Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. Man of Steel failed to impress and chances are not looking too good for Dawn of Justice either with it being branded as just a loud trailer for the Justice League Part 1 & 2.
Warner Bros left no stone unturned to make the fans feel that the clash between two iconic superheroes of DC Universe is all they ever wanted. We were treated to trailers, TV spots, one lucky of them all also got a ride in Batmobile. But all of this promotion has failed to lift the movie to the standards Christopher Nolan set with his stand alone Batman trilogy, let alone surpassing it in any way.
Let's take a look at the early reviews from around the world -

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice: EW review - 'Is it too late to demand a rematch?'
Dawn of Justice is big, all right. The brawls are busy and brutal, the story is sprawling in scope, the effects are an embarrassment of pixels, and the performances (well, some of them, at least) couldn’t be broader. If it’s just size you’re after, you won’t be disappointed. But at this point in Hollywood’s superhero cycle, is that really enough?

Film Review: ‘Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice’
Who would win in a fight, Batman or Superman? Could the Flash outrun Superman? Could Superman craft a boulder so heavy even he couldn’t lift it? While Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice ostensibly seeks to tackle the first of those evergreen schoolyard hypotheticals, it’s the third that ends up proving the biggest litmus test for director Zack Snyder.
3. The Hollywood Reporter -
'Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice': Film Review
"Nobody cares about Clark Kent taking on the Batman," the Daily Planet's editor dismissively remarks early on in the lumbering steamroller that is Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice. But Warner Bros. devoutly prays that this sentiment is not the case.
4. The Guardian - 3/5
Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice review – Ben Affleck earns his batwings
The title gives you the first clue: originally intended as the sequel to the most recent Superman reboot, Man of Steel, this long-in-the-arriving superhero movie has been thoroughly invaded by DC Comics stablemate Batman (and, to a lesser extent, Wonder Woman).
5. The Independent - 3/5
Batman v Superman review: Titanic clash that’s too convoluted for its own good
Boiled down to its essence, Batman v Superman is a story of two alpha males fighting for bragging rights. The question is whether there is room for both of them in the same movie. For all the eye-popping spectacle here, the brilliance of some of the action sequences, and the full-blooded performances from Ben Affleck and Henry Cavill as the superheroes, this turns out to be a convoluted affair.

Batman v Superman review: a very expensive reaction video for Man of Steel
The sequel, Batman v Superman: Dawn Of Justice, isn't just a sequel to Man Of Steel, it's a pointed referendum on the debate that followed the film. Occasionally, the self-awareness is hilarious, as when secondary characters go out of their way to point out that the climactic battle is taking place in an unpopulated area.
