Uncle Scrooge and gang on their way: First look of the new 'DuckTales' series is outMumbai, Mar 26(AZINS) Disney on Saturday released the first look of its upcoming animated series 'DuckTales' which is a reboot of the highly popular 1987 series that won four Emmy Awards.

The image features the prominent characters from the series namely, Scrooge McDuck, his nephew Donald Duck and grand nephews Huey, Dewey and Louie. Webby Vanderquack is also seen in the image who is a major character in the series.

According to Entertainment Weekly, Disney revealed that other beloved characters from the series like Launchpad McQuack, Flintheart Glomgold, and the Beagle Boys are also set to return.

Marc Buhaj, senior vice president of programming at Disney XD according to IGN said, that the new series "drew its inspiration from Disney legend Carl Barks' comic books," and set an "enduring standard for animated entertainment that connects with both kids and adults."

"DuckTales" is set to premiere in 2017 on Disney XD.
