First Oculus Rift virtual reality Headset gets hand delivered to customer by company founder Palmer LuckeyAuthor : AZIndia News Desk
Mumbai, Mar 27(AZINS) Virtual reality has become all the rage ever since the announcement of kickstarter company Oculus VR. Earlier today, Ross Martin got his hands on the very first Oculus Rift and to make the occasion even more special, it was hand delivered by company founder, Palmer Luckey.
The device was also signed by the co-founders of the company: Palmer Luckey, Brendan Iribe, Michael Antonov and Nate Mitchell.
The celebratory occasion was captured via Facebook Live. Facebook owns Oculus which is probably why they choose this particular medium.
Not even an Hawaiian shirt, flip flops and an Alaskan cold could stop Palmer from getting the device into the hands of Ross.
This is the first Rift from many more to come when the device officially launches on March 28, 2016 although most people may have to wait a while longer as the highly sought after virtual reality headset is currently overbooked for several months on the Oculus website, according to techcrunch.
The Oculus Rift is available for pre-order for $599 and comes with an Oculus Remote, Integrated VR audio, a sensor to translate your movement into VR and an Xbox One wireless controller.
