The film performed really well in the domestic circuit. With a collection of around $349.4 million, it is now the second highest grossing R-rated movie ever and is all set to overtake American Snipers which stands at a lifetime total of $350.1 million.

But it's in the worldwide market that the R-rated film has become the highest grossing film of this genre. With $745 million in its kitty already, the film has now surpassed the collections of The Matrix Reloaded ($742.1 million). It comes as a big win for the studio Fox Star who believed in the film and risked piping in their finances for the film.
