Charlize Theron opens up about rift with 'Mad Max' co-star Tom HardyMelbourne, Apr 2(AZINS) It's a known fact that Charlize Theron and Tom Hardy weren't too fond of each other while they were filming for Mad Max: Fury Road and now, the Oscar winner has opened up further on her issues with the British actor.

The 40-year-old actress spent nine months making the hit film and her relationship with Hardy did not run smoothly, reports news.com.au. In an interview, Theron said that from what she hears Hardy is not like that on every movie, adding that she hears that he's had good experiences.

She added that maybe the movie is what it is because they struggled so much with each other and those characters had to struggle so much with each other. If they were "chum-chum," maybe the movie would have been 10 times worse.

The Monster star has spoken about her onset clashes with Hardy previously as well. The apocalyptic action-packed adventure pulled in a global take of more than $500 million when it was released in 2015.

It was also nominated for 10 Academy Awards, including Best Picture and won six.
