Flying. Chainsaw. Drone. Need we say more?Mumbai, Apr 5(AZINS) It’s clear we are squarely in the age of drones. They’re everywhere--from the pesky neighbourhood kid who got that dinky little China-made quadcopter for his birthday to advanced reconnaissance drones that can operate above and even below water.

And while we are starting to see all manner of limits-pushing here, from drones armed with guns and even flamethrowers, it’s probably not surprising to know that some dude has gone ahead and tethered a petrol-fired chainsaw to a DJI S1000 octocopter.

Of course, such an unholy pairing could only result in a Frankenstein-inspired monstrosity, which is evident from the way it teeters around in what looks to be a mad aerial rage. The creation is the brainchild of a group of Swedish filmmakers, though it’s not entirely clear what they would require such a contraption for.

If we were to wager a guess, it’d probably be some kind of defense against an impending zombie apocalypse. Or a drone-swarm-AI-based chainsaw massacre, perhaps. Either way, it’s clearly the kind of stuff that the worst nightmares are made up of.

Watch as the smartly-named ‘Killer Drone’ goes about wreaking havoc among a party of hapless snowmen, icicles and random coniferous tree branches. Unstoppable as it seems, the entire spectacle does have a rather hilarious ending with the contraption brought down by the most unlikely of ‘countermeasures’ maybe in aerial defense history.
