Marshmallow update for the OnePlus One starts rollout nowMumbai, Apr 10(AZINS) OnePlus has just announced that the OnePlus One will finally be receiving the Android Marshmallow update. The update comes with CyanogenMod version 13.0, released in March.

In a forum post on Friday, OnePlus stated that Cyanogen would begin dropping the update over the weekend. Remember, it's a staggered OTA rollout, so don't be disheartened if you don't receive the update right away. CM 13.0 bring Android 6.0.1 to the OnePlus, including Google Now on Tap, "doze" functionality, as well as segmented app permissions.

The OnePlus One was launched in India in December 2014, with CyanogenMod on top of Android 4.4.4 KitKat. Later in 2015, the company developed its own OxygenOS in-house to serve as the replacement custom ROM.
