Mumbai, Apr 11(AZINS) Sony launches their all-new A68 DSLR camera with their 4D Focus system that is especially effective in challenging photographic situations such as high-speed or low light scenes.
This system uses Phase Detection with 79 autofocus points including 15 cross points, as well as a dedicated f/2.8 AF sensor aimed at dimly-lit scenes. Facilitated by their Translucent Mirror Technology, the A68 also delivers constant autofocus tracking while recording Full HD video as well as while capturing burst shots at up to 8fps.
The A68 uses a 24MP APS-C Exmor CMOS image sensor with an ISO sensitivity ranging between 100 and 25,600. Driving this sensor is their BIONZ X image processor that handles functions like noise and diffraction reduction, sharpness control etc.
The camera is capable of shooting Full HD movies using their XAVC S format with a high bitrate encoding of up to 50 Mbps making for high-detail, low-noise video capture.
Its viewfinder uses an OLED screen that provides 100% frame coverage, enabling a photographer to capture exactly what she sees. Complementing the viewfinder is a 2.7-inch articulated LCD monitor that rotates upwards 135 degrees and downwards 55 degrees, making for easier scene composition when shooting from challenging angles. There is also a backlit display at the top that confirms shooting modes and settings.
The camera has 10 customizable buttons that can be assigned to frequently-used functions, and a control wheel on the back of the body used for quickly adjusting camera settings.
There is also a mode called SteadyShot INSIDE, which reduces the effects of camera shake, making for blur-free handheld shooting when used with compatible lenses.
The A68 body is priced at Rs 55,990, the body + 18-55mm kit lens bundle is priced at Rs 59,990, and the body + 18-135mm kit lens bundle is priced at Rs 85,990.
