Facebook may be adding news tabs to your News Feed on the appMumbai, Apr 16(AZINS) According to user reports, it seems Facebook is making a major change to the News Feed on the mobile app.

A screenshot sent in to Mashable by user Tom Critchlow depicts a change Facebook is clearly testing out, with separate News tabs at the bottom of the Feed, including, World and US, Sports, and Food, although the app still loads directly into your News Feed. Facebook then later confirmed the testing, although they didn't say whether the change would make it to the final app.

"People have told us they’d like options to see more stories on Facebook around specific topics they’re interested in," a Facebook spokesperson told Mashable in an email. "So we have been testing a few feeds for people to view more and different stories from people and Pages based on topic areas." The tabs can be accessed by clicking them, or swiping right or left to the topic. The feature is another indicator of how focused Facebook has been in the recent past with attempting to have users get their fill of News from their platform.

To be clear, the topical news sections collect stories posted by media houses, as well as those shared by your friends. You can also edit which tabs you'd like to see, for instance removing Sports from the view, if that doesn't interest you, and substituting it with another topic.
