Watch: DJI shows off their new M600 pro-quality aerial photography droneMumbai, Apr 18(AZINS) Think about your favourite action movie--the ones that are marked by thrilling aerial shots of car chase sequences or panning fly-bys of medieval castles. These and so many other breathtaking bird’s eye view shots have been the mainstay among modern cinematographers’ tools for effective storytelling. And with the advent of high-performance drones, this this has only evolved.

DJI--the guys who make some of the most powerful and versatile drones on the planet--have just released their latest and greatest: the DJI Matrice 600 (or M600). Aimed at professional aerial photography and industrial applications, it is a platform designed to integrate with a range of systems for facilitating everything from movie making to live televison.

This system is built to be modular and has the ability to take on photography equipment weighing upto 6Kg. It uses a flight controller that is self-adaptive, where it is able to modify its own flying characteristics based on the payload. This system can further be upgraded with triple redundancy to facilitate centimeter-level accuracy, making for very precise flight paths for exacting situations.

The drone has three intelligent flight modes including pre-programmable Waypoints, Follow Me, and Points of Interest.

Powering this drone are six DJI batteries that deliver a flying time of 15 minutes (with when loaded out with its 6 Kg peak payload,) or up to 35 minutes with when used with lighter camera and stabilizing systems.

The video feed from the drone that is beamed to the controller can work from up to 5Km away at Full HD (1080p) resolution, or using the television standard of 720p at 59.94 fps or 1080i at 50 fps.

This drone is also fully customizable using the DJI Software Development Kit (SDK,) enabling developers to program the device depending on specific requirements.

The M600 is priced at $4,599--find out more about it here.
