Ahead of this, director Pa Ranjith tweeted a new poster of the film. The new poster sees Rajinikanth cradle a gun in his hand.

Ranjith tweeted the poster with the caption "Magizchi", meaning happiness.

A previous poster released by the makers saw Rajinikanth trying to escape a crowd pulling him down.

Kabali will see the Thalaiver plays a man closer to his age, an ageing don. Radhika Apte stars opposite him and plays his wife in the film. The cast of this crime drama also includes Kalaiarasan, Dhansikaa, Dinesh and Ritwik. The parts of the film have been shot in Malaysia.

A release date for Kabali has not been announced yet, but set a reminder for 11 am, Sunday morning because you will not want to miss this teaser.
