Prince's former assistant addresses claims about the icon's drug useMelbourne, May 4(AZINS) Amidst all the speculations on Prince's sudden death due to overdose of pain-killers, his former assistant claimed that he was very healthy and she never saw him take drugs during while she worked for him.

Mariah Brown, who worked with the Purple Rain singer up until 2015, said that he didn't even drink and she never saw him take any pills, nor did she get any on his behalf, reports news.com.au. "The whole death didn't make sense to me. ... He never came across as sick, or anything like that," she added.

Prince was found dead on April 21 at his Paisley Park compound in Minnesota. Though toxicology reports are still not available, law enforcement officials are looking into whether the Little Red Corvette hit-maker died of an overdose and whether a doctor was prescribing him drugs in the weeks beforehand.

Brown started working for Prince when she was referred to by one of his friends, who also worked with him. As an assistant, she brought him food, clothes and did other daily tasks. She also toured with him in addition to managing his personal details. "My experience with him was phenomenal; he's like no other. It was like magical," said Brown.
