Kingston launches dual USB Type-A/Type-C flash drive in IndiaAuthor : AZIndia News Desk
Mumbai, May 17(AZINS) Digital storage solutions provider Kingston has announced the launch of a new hybrid USB flash drive.
The DataTraveler microDuo 3C is a dual USB drive, the first of its kind in India to feature both USB Type-A (compatible with USB 3.1 and backwards) as well as USB Type-C. The flash drive has a USB type-A port on one end, with the USB type-C on the other, capped in a protective casing, all in a body a little under 1.2 inches long.
“DataTraveler microDuo 3C has a dual interface that accommodates both USB Type-A and USB Type-C ports to give users easy access to the latest USB interface,” said Nathan Su, Flash Memory Sales Director, APAC Region, Kingston. “Our drive provides more storage, features fast data transfer speeds and helps make the new technology more accessible to consumers.”
The DataTraveler microDuo 3C boasts a read speed of up to 100MB/s and write speed of up to 15MB/s. It’s available in three storage sizes; 16GB, 32GB, and 64GB. The flash drive will be available on Flipkart from May 2016, and will be priced at Rs 800, Rs 1,200, and Rs 2,000 for the three memory sizes, and will come with a five-year warranty.
