Christina's funeral this weekNew York, June15(AZINS) Singer Christina Grimmie will be laid to rest this week in a private funeral attended by her family and close friends in her home state New Jersey.

"It is just going to be a small, intimate gathering for her family and close friends," a source told people.com.

Hundreds of mourners gathered on Monday night for a candlelight vigil in Grimmie's New Jersey hometown of Evesham Township.

"She loved this town, she loved this state, she loved singing, she loved the Lord and she loved me and she was my baby sister," her brother Marcus said.

"Adam Levine paid for Christina's funeral. Selena (Gomez) is singing a song and crying (during her concert). These people didn't have that and we are blessed to. She's in a better place," he added.

Marcus also thanked Grimmie's fans for their support.

"Thank you to everyone once again. I wish I could elaborate more. You guys didn't know her like I did, so thank you. This is awesome," he said.

Grimmie, a contestant of the sixth season of "The Voice", was fatally shot while she was signing autographs and selling merchandise after her show in Orlando late last week.

The shooter, Kevin James Loibl, killed himself after committing the crime.
