NetApp a leader in Gartner Magic Quadrant SSA reportAuthor : AZIndia News Desk
New Delhi, Aug 26 (AZINS) American data storage company NetApp has been named a leader in the 2016 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Solid-State Arrays (SSA) report, the company said on Griday.
A solid state array (SSA) is a shared storage device that exclusively uses solid state drives (SSDs) to store data blocks without any mechanical hard disks.
"Our position as a leader in this year's Magic Quadrant for Solid-State Arrays underscores the fact that NetApp is enabling customers' successful transition to flash,” said George Kurian, chief executive officer of NetApp.
According to a recent report from the market research firm International Data Corporation (IDC), NetApp registered an impressive revenue growth of 238.2 per cent year over year, which was 2.7 times faster than the all flash array market as a whole.
All flash array is a data storage system that contains multiple flash memory drives in place of spinning hard disk drives, allowing for much faster data transfer rates and more efficient use of data centre resources.
