Nick Gordon held legally responsible for Bobbi Kristina's deathLos Angeles, Sep 17 (AZINS) Nick Gordon has been declared legally responsible for the death of singer Whitney Houston's daughter Bobbi Kristina Brown after he failed to show up at two hearings.

Bobbi Kristina Brown passed away in July last year, six months after she was found unresponsive in a bath tub. Her father Bobby Brown is glad to have some answers after a judge found her former fiancé legally responsible for her death on Friday, reports people.com.

"I am pleased with the outcome of today's court proceedings. All I ever wanted was answers relating to who and what caused my daughter's death. Today's judgment tells me it was Nick Gordon. Now I need to process all the emotions I have and lean on god to get me and my family through this," Bobby said.

The decision by the judge was made after Gordon failed to show up at two civil wrongful death hearings.

R. David Ware, a lawyer for the conservator of Bobbi Kristina's estate, said: "In court today, we finally finished a long journey for justice for Bobbi Kristina Brown. The court agrees with us, by striking Mr. Gordon's answer that he is legally responsible for her death.

"The only thing left to prove is the value of her life. We intend to do that... It's not a criminal case but it doesn't have to be. We want to legally establish he was responsible for her injuries the proceeded her death and we've done that today," Ware added.
